FW Mockingbird, LLC is planning to build 148 townhouses / row houses at 501 Elderwood Trl north of the Sandybrook Neighborhood called Mockingbird West. They will have Elderwood Trl open into it. Manhattan Blvd will open into it. It will connect to Blf Br Way in Mockingbird Estates to the East. I was told on 06/27/25 that the plat was being changed and it is being processed by the platting department. Several people have said they do not want or support this development. When the area was rezoned by the city several people told our city council rep that we wanted A-5 single family zoning. However the city rezoned it to R-2. 06/30/25 - I found out that they are working with the city to extend the current plat because it expires this year. However they are trying to decided what to do because of how slow the townhouses sold / are selling in the Mockingbird Estates. I encouraged them to do single family instead.
