SANDYBROOK NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION

HALLOWEEN CARNIVAL OCTOBER 28, 2006

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween

We had the Sandybrook 3rd Annual Halloween Carnival on Saturday Oct 28 from 6:30pm - 8:30pm. Our goal for this, was to have a fun and safe carnival / festival event for kids and adults. We did have a fun and very successful event this year. Lets make next year's carnival be the biggest and best yet. If you enjoy Halloween like I do, I need your help to make this a success. I enjoy making people laugh and I also like to scare people. Halloween is my favorite day. Its legal to scare little children and mommy and daddy and laugh all the way to my grave. BOO! I am inviting you the people of this here neighbor HOOD to join me and to have lots of fun in this here park of yours. Don’t forget to bring your bestest friends. Join the fun.

We want to thank everyone who helped with the carnival. This was our biggest carnival. It could not have been done without the people who helped and donated items.

Thank you to Sam and Charlene Summers for providing an electric generator for the carnival. See their ad in the November 2006 newsletter on page two if you have any welding projects.

Thank you to Southwest Sound Machine for providing DJ services and music for the carnival. See their ad in the November 2006 newsletter on page two or below if you need a DJ or sound man for any event.

Congratulations to all the winners of the costume contest. All the prizes were donated. Thank you to our NPO, John Choyce, for helping with deciding who the crowd picked as winners.

Thanks to all the people who came and made this Halloween Carnival a fun, fun event. Thank you very much. I thank everyone for supporting your neighborhood events.

If you have any photos you want put on the web site submit them via the email address below.

If you have any suggestions or ideas for next year’s carnival or any event we do please contact Buck. We are planning to make next year’s carnival bigger and better. We had people from the Meadowbrook News taking photos. Our NPO would like to bring in people from other neighborhoods next year to let them see what we do to help them to do something similar in their neighborhoods. They all were impressed with the carnival and the turn out.

We need many volunteers to help with games, a spook trail, and other items. If you are interested in helping, have ideas, suggestions or donating items (wrapped candy, materials, generator, etc.) contact Buck Rios at 817-496-3637. You will not have to volunteer for the entire time. Thank you to everyone that helped with this carnival. The number of volunteers for the setup and the carnival will determines which events we can do.

Happy Halloween
